Christopher Gregor was already charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office says Gregor’s son Corey died from blunt force trauma on April 2, 2021.
The boy’s mother told News 12 New Jersey this was part of a pattern of abuse. Gregor allegedly forced the boy to run on a treadmill even after he fell off.
Gregor is being held at the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
