The family of a missing college student is asking for the public's help in finding him.
Nick Pratico, a freshman at Mercer County Community College, went missing on Sept. 20. He was last seen on the campus around 3 p.m. wearing a blue shirt, black pants and a blue backpack.
Father Jason Parzynski, the chaplain at Notre Dame High School where Pratico graduated, says the entire family is praying for his safe return. He describes Pratico as a gifted athlete and performer with dreams of being a professional entertainer.
Investigators say the family told them that Pratico has no history of disappearing or any psychological problems. The family says not hearing from him is completely out of character.
Pratico's family has created a
Facebook page dedicated to search efforts. Police have also released surveillance footage from the campus in hopes it will lead to clues.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on Pratico's disappearance to call the Hamilton Police Crime Tip Hotline at 609-581-4008 or Detective Lenny Gadsby at 609-581-4032 or Detective Frank Burger at 609-581-4010.
