A 4-year-old girl seriously injured in a crash on Route 70 in Toms River last month remains in critical condition, according to her family.
Isabella Corbin has undergone brain surgery and also suffered a stroke.
A GoFundMe for the family has raised around $85,000 of the $100,000 goal.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office says that a U-Haul pickup truck struck several vehicles during the crash, including the one carrying Corbin. The intersection of Route 70 and Massachusetts Avenue has been named among the most dangerous in the country.
The U-Haul’s driver, identified as 33-year-old Charles Sharkey, was allegedly using a cellphone and driving erratically. Sharkey allegedly ran a red light, according to officials.
