Police in Fair Lawn are looking for a person who they say robbed a gas station and attacked an employee with a screwdriver.
Authorities say that the crime happened last Friday at the Woroco Gas Station on Maple Avenue. The suspect attacked an employee with the screwdriver and punched another in the face.
“Sometimes they’re going to use whatever weapons are available to them. Most people think that people are going to use a knife… A screwdriver is just as effective in an armed robbery,” says Sgt. Brian Metzler.
Police say that he got away with more than $550 in cash.
Anyone who may have information about the incident is asked to contact Fair Lawn police at 201-794-5410.
