To cut down on airport congestion and delays, the Federal Aviation Administration says it is planning to reduce peak-hour flights at Newark Liberty International Airport.

The FAA says it plans on reducing flights by about 8 percent during peak flying times in the spring. Transportation Secretary Mary Peters predicts cutting down on peak-hour flights will lead to as many as 30 more flights available per day.

Many travelers had mixed reactions about the plan. Some say if cutting back on flights means reducing crowds, than it?s a good plan. Others feel cutting flights is not the right way to fix the problems.

The plan is expected to be implemented in May and continue for about two years.
