The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating an unusual incident at Newark Liberty International Airport. They say a United Airlines flight was taxiing Thursday when the landing gear tire caught on fire around 5 p.m.

Firefighters extinguished the fire on the runway. The Boeing 787 had arrived from Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel.

No one was injured and normal operations resumed at the airport, authorities say.

It’s unclear what caused the fire.
