FORECAST:

Enjoy the crisp breeze today as temperatures settle into a comfortable mid-60s, which is a refreshing drop from recent highs in the 80s. However, the mild conditions won't last long. Clouds will thicken tonight as a warm front approaches, bringing rounds of scattered, dreary rain that will stick around for Friday morning.

Friday remains damp and unsettled, though a brief break in the clouds for the midday spikes temperatures to near 80 degrees. This will induce strong thunderstorms when a cold front sweeps through after 5 p.m. This will last through at least midnight. Some of these storms may be strong to severe with gusts near 40-60 mph, small "pea" sized hail, and a very low threat for a tornado west of New Jersey in the Lehigh Valley.

Behind the front, there will be a sharp surge of cold that lasts all weekend long with high on Saturday remaining in the mid-50s accompanied by a strong northwesterly wind at 30-35 mph throughout the day. Saturday night's air will be some of the coldest yet with widespread lows in the 30s. This will create frost and freeze conditions for our northern counties. Feel like temperatures on Sunday morning will be in the upper 20s.
