Twenty-five small businesses in Woodbridge are getting a boost through a new grant program from Optimum and the Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce.
The “Lifting Up Small Businesses in Woodbridge, New Jersey” initiative is awarding $5,000 grants to 25 local businesses. Organizers said the funding is designed to support mom-and-pop shops and strengthen the local business community.
“This type of investment in the community really allows us to strengthen our brand and our relationship on the ground in the communities that we serve,” said Mike D’Alessandro, senior director of market business at Optimum.
Business owners said the grants are providing encouragement as they continue to grow.
“This small business gave us hope, motivation and helped us push forward through the tough times,” said Gianfranco Triscari, creative director of Per Lui Barbershop.
Optimum is the parent company of News 12.
