A luxury event planner in Middlesex County is doing what she can to help people celebrate their milestones while adhering to COVID-19 restrictions.
Create That Party is an event planning and design company based out of South Plainfield. Owner Jaleena Anthony says that keeping the party going hasn’t been easy during the pandemic.
“It’s definitely had an impact. My whole business is based on social gatherings, so I would say the first few months, it definitely put a damper on all of the events,” Anthony says.
But Anthony says that she is not giving up.
“I could have taken that as a sign to say maybe it wasn’t meant to be, but there was no way I was going to let that situation stop me,” she says.
She has been offering her venue as a place to hold celebrations. She has increased cleaning and scaled down capacity to 25 to meet the state guidelines. Anthony says that she is focusing on the positive.
“It’s such an intimate setting and it’s such a luxurious place that you could really have the event that you want, within the budget you want – and still have a Pinterest-worthy event,” Anthony says.
Anthony also says that she hires an outside service to clean before and after each event.
