A dinosaur took over the Meadowlands on Thursday to help children stay safe during the pandemic.
Field Station Dinosaurs brought its T-rex out to meet the kids to show off that even dinosaurs are wearing masks these days to protect the public from spreading COVID-19.
“We think that the dinosaurs are the unique messenger for the message of social distancing and masks, because dinosaurs are cool and what we’re teaching kids is that masks are cool,” says dinosaur wrangler and executive producer Guy Gsell. “They’re the perfect way to make it fun, to make it lively, to make it cool, but also to give an important lesson.”
Field Station Dinosaurs opens in Leonia on Aug. 15.
