Mercy House brings Easter joy to families in need

This Thanksgiving season, Essex County is helping residents facing food insecurity or for those impacted by inflation and rising food costs.

The county will hold an emergency food drive on Friday, Nov. 18. Officials say 1,000 frozen turkeys will be available, along with boxes of nonperishable items.

Residents can come and pick up items on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Richard J. Codey Arena in West Orange starting at 9 a.m.
