An Englishtown firefighter was laid to rest Tuesday.
Pasquale DiBenedetto died after responding to a fire last week.
DiBenedetto, better known as “Pete the Pepper” to his friends, served the Englishtown Fire Department as a firefighter, engineer and former chief.
He was known for his love of growing peppers in his garden. He was also an auto enthusiast who owned over 100 vintage cars, trucks and tractors. One of the vehicles was used in the funeral procession.
DiBenedetto was 68 years old.
