The Edgewater Target was temporarily evacuated Wednesday after receiving a suspected bomb threat.
Edgewater police say that an employee received a call from a woman who said that there may be a bomb inside the store. The woman apparently came home and found a note left by her brother that said that he placed a bomb in the bathroom at the Target that was set to go off at 7 p.m.
Police and the Bergen County Sheriff bomb squad responded. All customers and employees were forced to evacuate.
The Bergen County Sheriff bomb squad responded and conducted a sweep of the building. Officials say nothing suspicious or dangerous was found and gave the all-clear.
The store reopened shortly after the all-clear was given.
