Parts of Sussex County were hit with the season's first snowfall Thursday courtesy of a coastal storm that soaked most of the rest of New Jersey in cold rain.
"This is ridiculous for Oct. 15," said June Wieladek, of Highland Lakes. "I feel like I should be singing Christmas carols."
The National Weather Service says showers and cold temperatures should continue though the weekend in New Jersey. About 3 inches of snow is expected to fall.
