Driver in convertible plows into Linden home
Two families in Linden got a horrifying wake-up Sunday when a car slammed into their multifamily home.
It happened on Woodlawn Avenue around 4:30 a.m. Police say a BMW convertible was heading north on the dead-end street and failed to navigate a left turn onto Morris Avenue.
The car continued straight into the dead end, hitting a Honda CRV parked into the driveway and then continued right into the home's garage.
The driver and passenger suffered only minor injuries.
The three people inside the home were not hurt.  But their home sustained serious damage, and no one is being allowed back inside until repairs have been made.
Police say criminal charges are not likely to be filed in the case. It's unclear why the driver failed to navigate the turn.
