An owner of a popular beachfront bar destroyed by Superstorm Sandy says part of the bar will be opened by July.
Chris Bowler, one of the owners of Donovan's Reef in Sea Bright, says the Tiki bar should be opened by July 1.
Owners hoped to have the Tiki bar opened last summer, but were delayed due to finances and concerns about possible deed restrictions.
Bowler says that they were not sure if Donovan's had rights to the beach or not at the time. However, he says that issue has been cleared up, and the Tiki bar will open soon.
More construction on the restaurant is expected to begin in September.
