A common dolphin was found dead in the Shrewsbury River Friday, but it is not one of the stranded Bottlenose dolphins seen frolicking in the waters since the summer.
The animal is the third dead dolphin found in the waters in two months.
Scientists and animal advocates are still worried as the weather gets colder, more will perish. They are still pushing state and local officials to agree on a way to coax the dolphins out of the river and out to sea.
Meanwhile, another unusual resident has joined the stranded pod in the river ? a harbor seal. Marine experts say the seal appears healthy and is eating well.
