Despite the frigid temperatures outside today, the sun was shining, and some people were even motivated enough to get some outdoor exercise.
News 12 New Jersey found one neighborhood along the shore where many people were out and about braving the freezing temperatures.
Not only was it freezing with temperatures in the 20s, but with the wind chill along the shore, it felt more like the single digits.
That still hasn't stopped people from coming out to Pier Village in Long Branch.
"We're totally covered, totally protected so we'll be nice and warm," said one resident. "We're toasty."
While some people headed out to face the day, others headed outside only to venture into the Turning Point Cafe to warm up with a mug of hot chocolate.
