A lot of rain and whipping winds are making Thursday miserable for residents and drivers in the Garden State.
Drivers say the morning commute on Route 17 in Rutherford wasn?t too bad. However, those in the area say after rush hour, the road flooded in a matter of minutes. Despite all the flooding though, the road remained opened.
Crews worked throughout the morning to pump water off the road. They will remain in the area during the day to continue to get rid of the excess water. Meanwhile, drivers are urged to slow down and give themselves extra time.
