A New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection employee has died after the aquatic weed harvester he was operating capsized in Lake Hopatcong.
The operator was identified as 68-year-old Curtis Mulch of Landing.
The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Crescent Cove. Crews recovered Mulch’s body from the lake several hours later.
It was not immediately clear why the craft capsized.
