The state election law enforcement commission has deadlocked over plans to delay the gubernatorial debates, keeping the original debate schedule in place.
New Jersey Public Television proposed pushing the debate from Oct. 1 to Oct. 22 after Corzine stated the original date didn't gel with his schedule. That proposal met with the ire of both Republican Chris Christie and Independent Chris Daggett camps, who accused the station of giving in to tactics that would benefit Corzine's re-election bid.
Corzine said Monday he will comply with the debate schedule no matter what it is.
