A rare beaked whale washed ashore on a beach in Spring Lake.
The Marine Mammal Stranding Center tells News 12 they received the call just before 6 a.m. Thursday at St. Clair Avenue.
The carcass was transported to the animal health diagnostic lab at the New Jersey Department of Agriculture in Trenton for a necropsy.
