Passaic Valley Water Commission says water service has been restored to the Riverside section of Paterson and are still working on restore normal service to Fair Lawn.

Passaic Valley Water Commission says water service has been restored to the Riverside section of Paterson and are still working on restore normal service to Fair Lawn.
Fair Lawn, which is a wholesale customer of PVWC, remains under a boil water advisory.
Crews have isolated the damaged 42-inch main at North 1st & Arch streets.
The large-scale flushing of the system because of the large water main break over 2 weeks ago has been put on pause because of this latest break.
That flushing is about 50% complete and needed to life the boil water advisory.
A boil water advisory remains in effect for parts of Paterson, Prospect Park, Haledon and North Haledon until further notice.
