Police have identified the bicyclist who was hit and killed by someone driving a cement truck in Borough Park yesterday.

According to police, the crash happened just after 3 p.m. Wednesday near 16th Ave. and 49th St.

Investigators say a 2021 Mack cement truck, driven by a 68-year-old man, was traveling south on 16th Ave. when it struck a bicyclist who was also heading south.

Police say the cyclist, Edwin Delgado, 53, was rushed by EMS to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities say Delgado’s address links him to a home near East New York. Police say the truck driver remained at the scene.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation into what led up to the crash is ongoing.
