Both customers and business owners are bracing for a possible NJ Transit rail strike in Monmouth County.
At the Red Bank station, platforms were empty around the lunch hour, and even between commuting day parts, it caught the attention of some people.
An NJ Transit employee told News 12 they're seeing an increase in bus ridership this week, as commuters start planning ahead.

At the nearby Eiffel Liquors, store owner Hitesh Patel says they'll take a hit on business this weekend because he expects less riders to take the train to the Shakira concert at the Meadowlands because of the strike threat.
“Lots of commuters, all the people are going to games and all the concerts. They stop by here and got beer. They're going there our business too,” said Patel.
“Just work it out and just get regular transportation for all the people and just work it out somewhere somehow,” he said
