Cumberland County Jail settles for over $2 million in strip search lawsuit

Cumberland County will pay out a large settlement over claims that nearly 5,000 prisoners were illegally strip searched at the county jail.
More than $2 million will be paid to plaintiffs. They say the jail had no reasonable suspicion to search prisoners.
This is the second time these allegations have been made against Cumberland County. Over $4 million was paid out in 2008 over similar claims.
