Cumberland County Jail settles for over $2 million in strip search lawsuit

This marks the second time these allegations have been made against Cumberland County. Over $4 million was paid out in 2008 over similar claims.

Cumberland County will pay out a large settlement over claims that nearly 5,000 prisoners were illegally strip searched at the county jail.
More than $2 million will be paid to plaintiffs. They say the jail had no reasonable suspicion to search prisoners.
