A near-century old bakery in Middlesex County reopened Sunday morning after closing its doors in October.
Mendoker's Quality Bakery in Jamesburg closed this past fall, after 84 years of businesses. It left many residents in the area in search of a new hometown market.
Owner Edward Mendoker says a new partner came on board three weeks ago, which gave him the means to reopen shop.
Mendoker says the bakery was started by his grandfather 84 years ago.
Hundreds of people showed up for the reopening of the bakery with lines sometimes out of the store.
Mendoker says his new business plan will keep the bakery strong into a fourth generation, leaving smiles on the faces of the loyal customers.
Mendoker's Bakery will be open seven days a week.
