Crews to begin repairing sinkhole that ripped through Hoboken waterfront walkway

The sinkhole is located in a parking spot on Sinatra Drive, between 7th and 9th streets, right along the Hudson River walkway.

Crews in Hoboken are preparing to patch a sinkhole that caved in right along the popular waterfront pier. Materials to start repairs on that sinkhole will be brought in today. Construction will begin on Wednesday.
The sinkhole is located in a parking spot on Sinatra Drive, between 7th and 9th streets, right along the Hudson River walkway.

The Office of Emergency Management officials and city engineers will bring in the necessary equipment later this morning as they prep to make these repairs.
Hoboken officials say Marine engineers and divers conducted a thorough inspection of the area and the bulkhead, and it was determined that repairs are necessary.
