Rescue crews have recovered the body of a 17-year-old boy who went missing in the Raritan River near Perth Amboy.

Perth Amboy first responders, along with the Coast Guard and New Jersey State Police, searched for the boy who went missing Thursday afternoon near the rocks by the Raritan Yacht Club in the town.

Coast Guard officials say that another person was rescued from the water earlier. Authorities say that this person was swimming with the teen, but was not hurt.

The teen’s name has not yet been released.
