The USS Intrepid made its way down the Hudson River Tuesday and is now waiting for its makeover in Bayonne.
The Bayonne Dry Dock and Repair will be responsible for painting and making repairs to the aircraft carrier. The dry dock crew is currently working on another military ship that returned from delivering supplies to Iraq. The dry dock president says getting all vessels into the dry dock is a carefully planned out process.
The crew will begin work on the Intrepid in March. The ship will get a new paint job and seal repairs. The dry dock president says this will be the first time his crew works on a ship that has been around as long as the Intrepid.
