Court dates set for Atlantic City mayor and wife on child endangerment charges

The Atlantic City mayor and his wife will face separate trials this fall on child endangerment and related charges.

Marty Small Sr., who is seeking reelection, is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 10, six days after Election Day.

His wife, Atlantic City Schools Superintdent La’Quetta Small, will go on trial Dec. 1.

They are accused of emotionally abusing and hitting their daughter, at least once until she was unconscious.

Both have denied the charges.
