A contractor was rescued from a trench in front of a home in Montclair Saturday afternoon.
The incident took place on Linden Avenue around 12 p.m.
The contractor had dug a hole in the front yard of the home, when an oil tank fell on top of him and pinned him against the dirt.
Homeowner Will Harris says it took three hours to free the worker from the hole. It took a massive response from firefighters, police and other crews to help free the man.
"They did an excellent job, they were on point," said Harris, "Made me proud of my town today."
The trapped worker, who was not identified, was taken to a nearby hospital where he received treatment.
