AIR ALERT: The NJ Department of Environmental Protection has issued an air quality alert for Thursday for parts of the state. Air pollution concentrations may become unhealthy for people who are more sensitive to poor air quality. Light winds, heat and humidity will trap the pollution at lower levels of the atmosphere. People suffering from asthma, heart disease and other lung diseases are more susceptible to having breathing issues.
FORECAST: A nice taste of summer lingers on Thursday with very warm and humid weather.
Temperatures will climb quickly to the low 90s and feel a touch warmer as that muggier air from the Carolinas slowly creeps northward.
Friday is also nice for a good junk of the day. Temperatures will still be slightly above average for this time of year. Normal is 81 degrees. Friday should get to 83 or maybe a little warmer if the sunshine can linger a bit longer. Clouds will begin to filter through our skies later in the day/ evening as yet another storm system looks to have a showery say in our weekend plans.
Like the last few weekends, Saturday and Sunday both don't look to be a total washout, but we do need to be prepared for passing showers during both days.
