Jersey City residents will have another opportunity to weigh in on the city’s proposed 2026 budget.
Mayor James Solomon is hosting a community meeting on Sunday to gather additional public feedback before the City Council considers the proposed estimated tax increase at a Special Meeting on July 1.

The meeting comes after the mayor announced he was pulling the resolution from last week’s City Council agenda in response to concerns raised by residents. The meeting is set for today at 7 p.m. at the City Hall Annex.
City officials say today’s discussion is intended to give residents one more chance to share their input before the council votes on the proposed tax increase.
