Community bands together to help homeowners of Middle Island house fire
The
Middle Island community is coming together after a fire destroyed a
family's home and killed several of their rescue animals.
As News 12 reported, flames broke out at the home on Half Mile Road Monday just after noon.
At least five fire departments worked together to put out the fire.
Family members of those who lived there tell News 12 the family lost so many of their belongings, including one dog and six cats that the family rescued.
The are two GoFundMe pages to help raise money for the family.
