Eight years after Roxbury native Jody Rilee-Wilson was found dead in Oklahoma, her husband has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with her death.
Donald Wilson turned himself in to police this week. Authorities said Donald Wilson killed his wife and dumped her body at a park in Wister, Oklahoma. His mother is accused of helping him and was also taken into police custody, officials said.
On her MySpace page, the 23-year-old called herself a born and bred Jersey girl and was the daughter of Roxbury Deputy Mayor Jim Rilee. Jody Rilee-Wilson had moved to Oklahoma a few years before her death and left behind a baby girl.
In an interview last month, Jerry Wilson, Donald Wilson’s father, told “The Record” that his son told him he killed Jody Rilee Wilson because he was afraid she would take the couple's daughter back to New Jersey.
