OVERNIGHT: Clouds continue to move in through Monday evening ahead of a burst of rain between midnight and 5 a.m. The heaviest rain and thunderstorms stay safely south of the borough, but rain is expected to be steady for a time at night, impacting travel conditions.
MONDAY: Despite the rain ending before the start of the morning commute, some light rain, mist or drizzle can't be ruled out through 9 a.m., especially at the coast.
TUESDAY: The sun pokes back out midday Tuesday but there will generally be more clouds than sun. Some pop-up showers will approach from the northwest through the afternoon and evening, most of which should weaken. An isolated pop-up shower can't be ruled out, however, between 3 p.m. and sunset. These pop-up showers will be fueled by a strong Canadian wind, with gusts likely between 30 and 40 mph after noon. The strong wind is a cold wind, and it gets much colder once the sun goes down Tuesday evening. Gusts will remain between 20 and 30 mph at night, and temperatures tumble from the middle 60s Tuesday afternoon to the lower 40s Wednesday morning. With the cold wind, it will feel like the middle 30s. Make sure to bundle up out the door Wednesday.
WEDNESDAY: The coldest day of the week, with highs struggling to reach back into the 50s. The wind remains, with 30 to 40 mph gusts likely through the afternoon. The wind subsides Wednesday night, but it will remain cold with lows down to 40 degrees by Thursday morning.
REST OF THE WEEK: It only gets warmer from Thursday morning through to the start of Easter weekend. Upper 50s are likely Thursday afternoon, middle 60s likely Friday afternoon, and a run at 80+ degrees is on the table for Saturday afternoon. Right now, going with a high of 77 degrees, but the forecast is trending warmer as long as evening thunderstorms either fizzle or hang back a few hours.
