A winter weather advisory continues for Litchfield County, northern Fairfield, and northern New Haven County for mixed precipitation that will include ice and freezing rain. The advisory is up until 10pm. Watch for slick spots on untreated surfaces and elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses.
It will stay cloudy and damp through the overnight with temperatures rising into the lower and middle 30s. Winds will stay light. Gradual clearing will take place for Wednesday morning's commute.
Wednesday will become partly cloudy and then sunny as temperatures jump up into the 40s to near 50 degrees.
The temperature trend through the rest of the week will be milder. The weather pattern stays rainy with on and off showers Thursday into Friday.
By the weekend, temperatures could break 60 degrees.
