From record warmth to winter chill, we’ve traded record warmth for a cold, breezy Friday with highs in the mid-40s. Expect scattered snow showers north of I-84 Orange and Putnam counties and light flurries to the south late today as a weak system passes.
The weekend stays dry but windy, with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will be seasonal, ranging from the mid-40s to near 50 degrees.
A strong, spring-like storm arrives Sunday night into Monday, bringing heavy rain, gusty winds, and possible afternoon thunderstorms. Temperatures will briefly spike near 60 degrees before a cold front arrives Tuesday morning, which will be windy and much colder for St. Patrick’s Day, with temperatures falling into the 30s.
Hang in there though! Milder and nicer days are in sight more times than not. Spring officially arrives next Friday at 10:46 a.m. when the Vernal Equinox occurs.
