(AP) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie got into a heated back-and-forth over pensions with a public school teacher at his latest town hall meeting.
The event in Kenilworth on Tuesday was also interrupted several times by protesters angry over Christie's positions on immigration and other issues.
The teacher had accused Christie of favoring the rich and questioned the size of a settlement reached with Exxon over environmental damage. At one point she told the potential presidential contender: "I'm not here to be bullied."
The protesters were escorted out of the Harding Elementary School auditorium by security as a largely friendly crowd cheered.
Christie has been holding weekly town hall meetings across the state touting his proposal to further reform the state's public worker health care and pension system.
