Child freed after becoming stuck between concrete columns at Westfield park
Police say the child was not injured after officers climbed onto a ledge to help with the rescue.

A child was freed without injury after their head became stuck between concrete columns at Mindowaskin Park in Westfield, police said.
The Westfield Police Department said its communications center received a 911 call reporting the incident around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9.
Police officers responded along with Westfield firefighters and EMS. Police said the officers climbed over a railing and positioned themselves on a ledge to help free the child, who was not injured.
