A special group of children in need of cheering up received an early visit from Santa this year.
Young patients at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey also received toys thanks to a toy drive organized by the charity group David's Touch Foundation.
David's Touch Foundation founder Jenny Perez-Rosado says that she started the foundation after losing her 9-year-old son to lymphoma.
"It means so much more to me that I'm able to do that because [my son] is missed every day and just to see the smiles on these kids' faces just reminds me of him and takes me back and it helps me to cope," she says.
The New Jersey State Police were on hand to help hand out the gifts. The foundation was able to distribute over 3,000 donated toys this year.
