A Toms River man is facing upgraded charges in a fatal May crash that happened in Lakewood.
Prosecutors say Martine Taylor Jr. was driving drunk when he crashed his car into a drainage ditch on Cedar Bridge Avenue.
A 52-year-old Matawan woman, identified as Christine Kroliczak, was a passenger in the car who died on the scene.
Taylor was initially charged with causing death while driving with a suspended license but now faces aggravated manslaughter and homicide charges.
He is currently in Ocean County Jail awaiting a hearing.
