A Sam’s Club was evacuated due to a bomb threat Friday afternoon in Secaucus, according to police.
Investigators say an employee reported receiving an anonymous phone call around 1:30 p.m. claiming an explosive device had been placed inside the building at 300 Park Plaza Dr.
Officers assisted in the evacuation, conducted a walkthrough and had a K9 sweep the building. No explosives were detected and the store was later reopened.
No arrests have been made as of Saturday morning. Police have not released any other details.
