Fairfield police are searching for four people who broke into Digital World Shop located on Bloomfield Avenue.

The suspects were caught on camera using an angle grinder to cut a hole into the side of the garage door to get inside the electronic warehouse on Sunday morning.

"It's the holiday season. We understand that a place like that has all kinds of electronics. That stuff can be taken and then sold on the black market for a much cheaper price," said Stacy Chiarolanza, the public information officer with Fairfield police.

Authorities say the suspects moved quickly – grabbing tablets, a gaming system and a safe in approximately seven minutes.

The suspects fled the scene in a white sedan, which police say was stolen out of Paterson. The car was later found abandoned on Route 80.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Fairfield police.
