A Monmouth County homeowner says he was shocked to discover that two Sea-Doos that were in his driveway were stolen in the middle of the night.

The theft happened around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at Patrick Cambria’s Brainard Avenue home in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown while the family was asleep inside.

Surveillance video shows two men walking onto the property and approaching the trailer that the water vehicles were sitting on top of. They were wearing black. They are seen moving two garbage cans, removing the blocks keeping the wheels of the trailer from moving, and then are seen lifting the trailer by hand and rolling it away.

"It's very creepy, is the word. When you see them rummaging through your stuff, it's very strange,” Cambria says.

The light of day revealed the tracks on the neighbor’s grass.

"I woke up around 6 a.m. to get ready for work. I look at my Ring notifications and I noticed that I saw my truck and it looked weird. I said, ‘What's going on?’ and I realized the Jet Skis were gone,” Cambria says.

Cambria showed News 12 New Jersey another video of what's believed to be the suspects’ getaway car. At 2:26 a.m., a minivan passes the home and then passes by again at 2:29 a.m. before finally stopping.

“I’m assuming they parked right down the corner there,” he says.

It's believed they attached the trailer to a hitch and drove off. Police have been back on Brainard Avenue, questioning neighbors and requesting security video.

One of the Sea-Doos is a bright yellow RXPS, the other is a blue RXT. Both are 2018 models. Cambria says they are barely used. He says they are worth about $20,000

Cambria also says that just before noon he got a call from the police stating that the trailer was found in Edison. The were no signs of the water vehicles. Cambria says he hopes someone may have seen the men driving away.
