Cashier pepper sprayed during Wawa holdup in Toms River

Police say the suspect was last seen wearing a beige hoodie, had long dreadlocks, and appears to be about 5 feet 6 inches.

Toms River police are asking for help finding a man accused of pepper spraying a cashier and stealing money at a Wawa.

It happened late Saturday night along Route 37 East.

Police say the suspect was last seen wearing a beige hoodie, had long dreadlocks, and appears to be about 5 feet 6 inches.

Security footage shows the man pepper spraying the cashier as soon as she opened the register before running off with the money.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Toms River police at 732-349-0150.
