A man from Pennsauken Township was convicted of sexually assaulting a child, Camden County prosecutors announced on Monday.

Authorities say Joseph Jackson, 76, is accused of abusing a 9-year-old girl several times in 2018. They say the assaults occurred between April and December of 2018 at Jackson's residence in Pennsauken and between November and December of 2018 in Riverton.

Jackson was arrested by the Pennsauken Police Department at his residence on March 5, 2019.

A jury found Jackson guilty on Friday of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He’s scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 6.
