A year after the bodies of three Camden boys were found in the trunk of an abandoned car, the community is making sure their short lives are not forgotten.
More than 150 law enforcement officers, friends, family members and strangers united to search for the children. However, it was David Agosto who found his 6-year-old son Daniel suffocated in a trunk with friends 11-year-old Anibal Cruz and 5-year-old Jesstin Pagan. Officials say the boys accidentally suffocated while hiding.
A section of Von Neida Park, where the families say the boys often played, has a memorial to the children. Iraida Agosto says the park will also have a fountain installed in their memory. The Agostos also advise parents to only allow their children to play at friends whose parents will watch them. The three boys died in an old car at the Cruz?s house.
