Business women team up to build home for single mother of 4
More than 165 women from the Morris County Women In Business organization teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to build a home for a single mother of four from Dover.
They say that the mission is to help local families build decent and affordable homes.
"Everything that we do is about being givers, leaders, connectors in our community,” says Vicki Harte of Harte Marketing Cooperative. “It really is very important to give back to others that live among us.”
A United Way report found about 39 percent of New Jersey households can't afford basic needs.
Habitat for Humanity builds homes and provides repair services to eligible families.
